Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 cup onions chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeded and minced
  • 1 can (15½ oz) great northern beans drained
  • 1 can (16 oz) pinto beans drained
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup water
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp liquid smoke

Equipment you will need:

  • Non-stick skillet
  • 2 qt Baking Dish
  • Large Bowl

How to make:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Coat a nonstick skillet with Pam cooking spray. Heat over medium/high heat. When hot, add jalapeno and onion, and saute approx 2 minutes or until tender.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add contents of skillet, beans, and the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Spray a 2 quart casserole dish with Pam cooking spray, add the bean mixture.
  5. In the preheated oven, bake uncovered for 1 hour.
